An eager and persistent easterly blow has continued for weeks carrying cold Sibirian air to Western Finland. The winter begun now one month earlier than normally and the last wandering birds are hiding in the buckthorns and junipers near the shoreline. Recorded from the shelter of the junipers, mics angled toward the pine, at point Loukkeennokka in Kuuminainen. Though the sea is near, the wind in the pine and junipers is apparent, as the wind comes from ashore. Headphones recommended.
