Säppi Lighthouse Island is the outmost wooded island by our coast in this part of Western Finland. Literally we can say, that the taiga, reaching from east of Ural, ends here to the Baltic Sea. On the West side is a small peninsula with Junipers and one old Rowan. Flocks of tits coming a long way, possible from Russian Taiga, are at this place leaving land for ever. The sea is too big for them to overcome, but they are compulsively heading westward. This Rowan is the last safe place before heading out to the roaring sea though tough headwind. This recording is done under the Rowan, and from about 3.30 to 6.30 you can even hear some small autumn song.
